Greetings Vodou family!

This season has provided much contemplation and reflection on the term Vodou as used to describe human beings! An Elemental Being, one that internally mirrors the forces externally and shares an intricate bond.
In my local park and at an educational convention i visited, I had 3 encounters in as many days, to reinforce the message of spirit, divinely communicated through Nature's Forces!

In Vodou Cosmology, continental and Diasporic, we find the supreme forces of Mawu-Lisa & Aida & Damballah Weido respectively as the source of all things. Represented by 2 snakes, their symbology of rebirth, transformation and wisdom is a continuum carried across the oceans and time!
The ability to shed skin and continue anew speaks to our limitless human potential - the power to start afresh and pursue any of our many talents and skillset buried in our Ancestral consciousness, to transform our lives!

And how do we activate these memories? By learning about our Ancestors deeds, applying their philosophies of life and keeping their memories alive via our altars and community commemorations wherever we are!

The sightings in the parks gave me cause to create a spiritual bath to cleanse from the energies and experiences of Winter so as to be replenished by the warmth of spring...shedding the old to bring in the new, as the snake does in its physical life!

Then I went back for a deep-dive into Haitian Vodou precepts by re-watching the spectacular show Mama Bayyinah delivered recently on it, to re-invigorate and prime my mind to receiving further messages because one of the key associations with snakes in African Cosmology is a holder/keeper of Knowledge!
